The eight petals are no longer just inscriptions but eight photovoltaic panels tracking sunlight in real-time according to the eight directions. The small mirror at its heart reflects light spots into the library’s reading area—a physical light spot and also a metaphor: reflecting the oldest wisdom to where light is most needed.

The children know: Qian represents northwest方向, strongest发电 in the afternoon; Li represents due south, most stable throughout the year; Kan represents due north, still productive under diffused light.
